Social Studies Project
Create an American Indian Float.
The float includes information about the impact of the physical environment, region, way of life, and economic activities on the lifestyles of the Indian Groups living in Texas.
The exhibit should include at least eight artifacts or illustrations. Each artifact or illustration should be accompanied by a written explanation of how that artifact impacts the life of the group.
Assignment due 23 September.

Project Based Learning
The Island
The project is focused on "creating your own adventure. " Each project will be different and based upon the student's level and interest.
The overall objective is for students to create a story filled with characters, creatures, and adventures as well as review key Texas TEKS.
Students will be given task cards to glue into their notebooks. There are 17 tasks covering making inferences, understanding contracts, math word problems, creating characters and details, grammar exercises, and writing prompts.
